Realised I wanted to change the skin of my blog. But have still not found the one that I really like. Meanwhile this angel skin is nice, but I feel i can't navigate ard it freely. Let me continue to source ard for nicer skins. Meanwhile I shall resolve to blog more!

Have been busy packing my room and organising my photos the past week. Looking through all the photos, it really brings back good old memories of the times I had during the holidays and when I was a freshie in Ethos Camp 2003. The seniors I've met, the chalets and the outings that we had after the camp really add life and colour to my otherwise dull uni life. I also realised that as time flies, the memories that we hold dear to will also fade, but it is always through photos that memories are brough alive. I resolve- to take more photos and to constant blog, so that as I grow, I can look back again and reminisence at the good old times I used to have and continue to look forward to the wonderful life ahead of me. =)

Woo Hoo!!! Finally it's over!! I am so super duper happy... done with the 2 exams. Now really looking forward to the Korea trip... Went for the briefing for it yesterday, and watched movie called "the good shepherd". The movie was a screening done especially for recruit agency Robert Walters. Free movie with Free popcorn and drinks... such a good deal who would have missed it... it's just that the movie was, well boring... so super boring that i was trying very hard to entertain myself with the free popcorn and the drink... It was a movie with some historical stories infused into the plot, and I only understood like a quarter of everything? Guess "Deep" movies are not for me... I prefer kiddy kiddy shows like Garfield, Polar Express, Shrek, etc etc where one doesnt need to think too much or rem much bout the show, one where you just sit back, relax and laugh at the slapstick humour *HAHAHA*
Synopsis of The Good Shepherd
Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie and Robert De Niro star in this powerful thriller about the birth of the CIA. Edward Wilson (Damon) believes in America, and will sacrifice everything he loves to protect it. But as one of the covert founders of the CIA, Edward's youthful idealism is slowly eroded by his growing suspicion of the people around him. Everybody has secrets...but will Edward's destroy him? With an all-star cast including Alec Baldwin, Billy Crudup, William Hurt, Timothy Hutton and John Turturro, it's the gripping story David Ansen of Newsweek hails as "spellbinding."
O well, I still don't get it.. hehe...
And I realised my "chatbox" is gone...

Had been scouting around for a camera since February. my piority is one which does not rely on li-on batteries, as i found tt the no. of pics that i take on overseas trips is often limited by the no. of batteries i brought over (usually pathetic 2). Thus by using AA batteries, the no. of pictures that I can take are virtually infinite (of course subjected to memory card)Armed with that, researching on the various different types of cameras to choose from started. www.dpreview.com provides a very good review on the different types of cameras. It lists the specifications of different brands and different models in a table format and there are some reviews by some users. (of course newer models will have lesser reviews). It's really no point walking into the shop and asking the salespersons what model to buy etc etc, as the functions are basically the same, and the salesperson might be encouraging you to buy a certain model as his commission for that model is higher, or he has many stocks of that to clear. Moreover, there might be small little things which you are looking out for but the salesperson fails to point that out to you(maybe deliberately) For eg, some cameras records videos without sound, or that the resolution of the camera is not very good, or that the pictures taken are very noisy etc etc.
After narrowing down the budget, LCD screen size, and AA batteries as a few of my piorities, LZ7 came up the top, in terms of price, pixels, optical zoom and other aspects. For just $350 for just the camera and 1GB SD card (without any other peripherals) I find that it is really a good buy with so many functions jam-packed into this small camera, abeit its bulkiness.
1. it has the clever ISO function "The camera senses if your subject is moving and raises the ISO and shutter speed settings accordingly, preventing motion blur. You get clear, crisp shots even when if your subject moves. Also, you can set the sensitivity to as high as ISO 1250 ."
2. MEGA O.I.S. Prevents Blurring from Hand-Shake It's hard to hold a small camera steady. That's why the LZ7, LS75, LS70 and LS60 feature MEGA O.I.S., which automatically detects and compensates for handshake. You get clear, beautiful shots even when zooming, shooting macro close-ups or taking night scenery.
3. Select Any of 18 Scene Modes for Easy Shooting Turn the dial to SCN and choose any mode from the LCD screen, and the camera makes the settings that best suit the situation. Each mode is explained in the help section.
4. Simple Mode for Super-Easy Operation-Even for Beginners Just set the mode dial to the heart symbol, aim, and press the shutter button. The camera handles the complicated settings automatically and the settings menu is simplified, so there's no stress, no confusion and no worries. You can even compensate for backlighting by just pressing the cursor key. You'll find it easy to take clear, beautiful shots - even if you know very little about digital cameras.
5. It has the high angle mode, by pressing the mode, you can take pictures above many other heads...
More about its functions at this website... not bad at all, not bad at all...
